Damiano Matasci is a Senior Research Associate and Lecturer at the University of Geneva, Switzerland. After obtaining a PhD in history from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (Paris) and the University of Geneva, he held research, teaching or visiting positions at the universities of Heidelberg, Paris 1, Lausanne, Sciences Po Paris, and Oxford. His work explores the history of Europe and colonial Africa in a transnational and transimperial perspective, with a focus on education, childhood and science (19th-20th century).
