Bienvenue à la Fondation Pierre du Bois créée en 2008, selon le vœu de Pierre du Bois qui avait, depuis fort longtemps déjà, formulé ses objectifs : susciter des recherches sur l’histoire du temps présent et soutenir des chercheurs et des étudiants travaillant dans ce domaine.

Modern transimperial and interimperial histories : forms, questions, prospects

The Annual Pierre du Bois Conference, organized by the Graduate Institute in partnership with the Pierre du Bois Foundation and with support from the Swiss National Science Foundation took place at the Maison de la Paix from 12-14 May. A Keynote Lecture titled, Now You See It, Now You Don’t: Changing Sightlines on the Japanese Empire was given by Louise Young, the ‘Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’.
