Mariusz is a Lecturer in African History at the Institute of African Studies, Leipzig University. He completed his PhD at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in 2017. His research and teaching interests focus on the history of economic institutions and financial intermediaries in 19^th and 20^th century Africa. His recent publications appeared in the Journal of Southern African Studies, Business History and Economic History of Developing Regions.
