Maylis Avaro

Maylis Avaro is a PhD Candidate in Economics and History at the Graduate Institute in Geneva and she is visiting fellow the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in 2019-2020 with a Doc.mobility grant from the Fonds national suisse de la recherche scientifique. Her research interests are 19th and 20th century financial history, monetary economics and banking. Her current projects focus on measuring the rise and fall of international reserve currencies under the Bretton Woods era, and analyzing risk management at the discount window of the French central bank in the late 19th century.
