Katrin Milzow

After a BA at the University of Oxford and a MA at the Institute of European Studies of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Katrin has recently defended her PhD thesis on “‘National Interests’ and European Integration: Discourse and Politics (1997-2004)” at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. She is also editor of Working Papers in International History and Politics published at the Graduate Institute.

Her main research interests centre on European Union politics, with a particular focus on political discourses and legitimisations of the European project. More recently, Katrin has also taken an interest in the history of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the evolution of asylum politics in the Federal Republic of Germany.
