He was previously a Swiss National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in the Program in Science, Technology and Society and a Stanton Nuclear Security Fellow in the Security Studies Program at MIT. He obtained his PhD from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
