Pierre du Bois Scholarships Print E-mail

The Pierre du Bois Scholarships are awarded every year to Latin American students preparing for a PhD in International History and Politics at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.

Pierre du Bois had a particular attachment to Latin America which he visited on several occasions. He particularly wished to allow more students from this region to study at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva in Geneva.

The scholarships,in the amountof 20'000 CHF each, exempts the student from the Institute's semester fees and are for a one-year period. They can be renewed for one additional year, on the condition that the thesis subject is in line with the objectives of the Pierre du Bois Foundation, and according to the results obtained in the first year.

The scholarship holders for the academic year 2008-2009 and 2009-2010

boursiers08-09The first two scholarship holders, from Chile and Colombia, started their PhD at the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.Their scholarships were renewed for 2009-2010.

tzinti_ramirezA third scholarship for a Master, created in partnership with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, was granted to Tzinti Ramirez Reyes, from Mexico, for the academic year 2009-2010. Her scholarship was renewed for 2010-2011.
