Grants for the organization of workshops and symposia Print E-mail

The Foundation awards grants for the organisation of workshops and symposia in the field of current history.

It encourages workshops and symposia which apply the study of the recent past, of open-ended historical phenomena, and of the interaction between past and present to highlight the historical processes at work in the social, economical, political or cultural spheres. The Foundation particularly encourages projects that fall within one of its research areas: European space and the challenges of European construction and security issues. Preference is given to workshops and symposia that involve the participation of PhD students, recent PhDs and young researchers.

Matched with other contributions, the Foundation can finance part of the participants' travel costs, accommodation or subsistence expenses. For 2009-2010, grants for the organisation of workshops and symposia will be awarded to projects submitted by PhD students, recent PhDs or professors of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
