Celine benefits from an interdisciplinary education in international relations and political science from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva (MA, MRes, PhD). She is Research Associate at the Centre for Sustainable Development, University of Central Lancashire, UK. She previously worked on an interdisciplinary research project on climate change (NCCR-Climate) with fellow political scientists, economists and lawyers (University of Geneva, 2003-2006) and as coordinator of the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Environmental Diplomacy (University of Geneva in partnership with UNEP, 2006-2009).

 

Her interests include: the evolution of the development discourse, the impacts of development interventions on indigenous peoples, the role of participation in developmental and environmental decision-making, North-South relations in climate negotiations, and international environmental politics at large. Celine’s research is framed within the general approach of discourse analysis and political ecology.
